Watch: Keilan Robinson Breaks Off A Monster TD Run For The Texas Longhorns

After an explosive first half of the Big 12 Championship that saw the No. 7 Texas Longhorns build a 35-14 lead over the No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys, Texas didn't come out as hot in the second.

They ended up punting on their first possession of the second half, which Oklahoma State matched with a punt of their own. In the ensuing possession, it was running back Keilan Robinson who came up with a big play, as he took a carry on 2nd-and-10, and took it 57 yards for the touchdown.

The carry marked his third of the game and No. 11 on the year. It was also his second score of the year on the ground.

His touchdown extended Texas' lead to 42-14, and marked the second rushing touchdown of the day for Texas' elite running back room. The Longhorns are also on the cusp of adding yet another score as well, as their defense shut down the Cowboy offense again, forcing them to punt.

Heading into this game, it was quite clear that the Longhorns needed to not only win the game, but do so in a convincing fashion in order to catch the attention of the College Football Playoff committee.

Even with Oregon's loss in the Pac-12 Championship, the Longhorns still need a loss from one of the other three top programs in order to have a chance.If Michigan, Florida State, and Georgia all win, Texas' best hopes are that the committee thinks they are the better team in comparison to one of them.
