Jamaree Bouyea is coming off his rookie year in the NBA, where he played five games for the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.
The 24-year-old averaged 3.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.
Bouyea was a free agent, and Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium now reports that he is signing a two-way deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Via Charania: "The Portland Trail Blazers are signing guard Jamaree Bouyea to a two-way NBA contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Bouyea spent parts of last season with the Heat and Wizards while averaging 18.6 points and 6.2 assists for G League Sioux Falls."

Bouyea spent a significant amount of time in the G League (last season) and averaged 17.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 55.0% from the field and 32.9% from the three-point range in 23 regular season games.
He also appeared in 16 Showcase Cup games and three G League playoff games.

As for the Trail Blazers, they are 3-5 in their first eight games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
Most recently, they lost to the Sacramento Kings (in overtime) by a score of 121-118.
Jerami Grant led the team with 38 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks while shooting 12/25 from the field and 5/8 from the three-point range in 46 minutes of playing time.
They will play their next game against the Los Angeles Lakers (on Sunday) in California.
