Cowboys' offensive line takes yet another hit ahead of Week 17 vs. Lions
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys offensive line issues are getting worse by the day as now another lineman has been added to the injury report on Wednesday: Chuma Edoga.

While Tyron Smith was a non-participant in practice for the second consecutive day with a back injury, now his backup is a concern as well, as he's listed with a toe issue. Edoga was limited in practice.

Thursday should provide more context regarding his game status, but it's not an ideal place to be in for the Cowboys. Edoga struggled against the Miami Dolphins, allowing five pressures, two hits, and one sack. He made mental mistakes during the game including leaving Bradley Chubb completely unblocked in a high-leverage down.

The Cowboys left tackle on Sunday could range anywhere from future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith to Edoga or even a new face at left tackle if both are unable to go for any reason. Dallas' final injury will come out with game designations on Thursday as the team since the team is in a short week as they'll be hosting the Detroit Lions on Saturday.

Additionally, Zack Martin missed practice with a rest day, which makes sense considering his quad injury. Given he played in Miami and is listed as non-injury related, there's no reason to believe Martin will be out. He should play.

Cowboys' Wednesday Injury Report vs Lions, Week 17

Aside from offensive linemen, the Cowboys have other concerns. Rico Dowdle missed practice with an ankle injury after being limited on Tuesday, which raises some flags. Hankins could be looking at a third game inactive as he has yet to practice this week.

Meanwhile, Malik Hooker and Hunter Luepke were upgraded to full participants. Stephon Gilmore, who was banged up versus the Dolphins, was taken off the injury report.
